2017 Macro Brew
Emeriti faculty and VCU School of Social Work 2017 Alumni Star Bob Peay (M.S.W. ’74/SW), emeriti faculty member Bob Schneider, Ph.D., and Interim Dean Tim Davey, Ph.D., and the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work Office of Development and Alumni Relations invite friends of the school to join them for Macro Brew.
Macro Brew is an event to support the Social Work
Administration, Planning, and Policy Practice (SWAPPP) Scholarship. SWAPPP supports second-year M.S.W. students with a demonstrated commitment to macro social work practice. Emeriti, alumni, faculty, staff and friends have donated more than $92,000 so far. In honor of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the VCU School of Social Work, our goal is to raise $100,000.
Strangeways Brewing will offer a special Macro Brew ale and will also host a raffle for a goody bag, which includes three hours of free facility rental. All proceeds from raffle will benefit the SWAPPP Scholarship.
Event attendees will be entered to win a team-signed Final Four T-shirt and pennant from the 2011 NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
