School of Social Work

No. 28 M.S.W. Program in the U.S.

Congratulations to Amy Malloy. She  is another one of the 2014 recipients of the Cesare and Ida Sclarandis Scholarship.

The Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work and alumna Aubrey Sclarandis jointly created this award to honor Aubrey’s grandparents, Cesare and Ida Sclarandis. The purpose of this award is to support the pursuit of culturally enriching learning experiences that will enhance future social work careers in the multidisciplinary areas of culture and systemic issues.

Malloy is currently studying abroad in Guatemala, thanks to this award. While there she will be working as a tutor in a Spanish immersion program. She hopes to continue using her social work knowledge in an international capacity.
