ABOUT ME…

Kamilia Rahmouni, Ph.D., received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Middle Eastern and North African studies from the University of Arizona in 2019. Prior to receiving her M.A., she was a Fulbright exchange scholar at the University of Arizona. During her graduate work at the University of Arizona, she taught all levels of Arabic language classes and a variety of online and in-person courses on the cultures, history, religions and languages of the Middle East and North Africa.

Rahmouni’s interdisciplinary research interests include Arabic sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, language and identity, second language acquisition and teaching, and literacy research.
