President’s Posts

Michael Rao, Ph.D.

Dear VCU and VCU Health Community,

VCU extends our heartfelt condolences to those who lost loved ones and who continue to feel shock and pain after the recent terrorist attacks at two mosques in New Zealand. All of us are deeply affected by threats against any of us.

There is no justification for such horror and violence, and there is no tolerance for those who choose to violate humanity’s most sacred spaces in the name of hate. We firmly reject all forms of violence, including the religious, cultural, and racial bigotry that too often seem to accompany these acts of terrorism.

We offer our sincerest condolences to those impacted and our strongest assurance to all that VCU will continue to be a safe and welcoming environment for all people.

Sincerely,

Michael Rao, Ph.D.

President, VCU and VCU Health System
