The VCU School of Pharmacy Scholarship Golf Classic celebrates its 20th year with a new name, the Yanchick Invitational, in honor of Dean Victor Yanchick and his 18 years of service to the school.

Alumni, students, faculty and friends are invited to meet new friends, renew acquaintances and support the school Sept. 4 at the Brickshire Golf Club,  5520 Virginia Park Drive in Providence Forge, Va. Tee time is 11 a.m.; a continental breakfast and driving range are available beginning at 9 a.m. The cost is $95 per player ($50 for students), and proceeds will benefit pharmacy student scholarships.

If you want to support student pharmacists but not by playing golf – or if you would like to feel more comfortable with your game — sign up for a golf clinic, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Your $35 ticket includes the 4 p.m. awards picnic. Or just attend the awards picnic ($10) for fun, food and to find out who triumphed on the links!

Members of the School of Pharmacy’s Kappa Psi fraternity will serve as caddies and assist with the tournament.

Register online or contact Chnoic Adams Clarke, assistant director of development, for a paper registration form by e-mailing ctadamsclark@vcu.edu or calling (804) 828-4247. Hit the greens for a really good cause!
