NSWB participates in VCU Wellness Block Party
Nursing Students Without Borders (NSWB) of VCU recently participated in the annual VCU Wellness Block Party at Martin Luther King Middle School in Richmond. This student-led event provided free lunch, door prizes and games as well as free health screenings and wellness resources for kids and their families.
NSWB students promoted effective handwashing and hydration. They created visual boards showing the amount of sugar in different everyday drinks compared to water. Nursing students also educated children on proper handwashing techniques.
