Candace Burton Conducts a Domestic Violence Workshop at the YWCA
Candace Burton, Ph.D., RN, FNE, assistant professor in the Department of Family and Community Health Nursing, recently led a community workshop for VCU’s Institute of Women’s Health and the YWCA for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Her topic was “The intersection of reproductive health and intimate partner violence in the form of reproductive coercion.” Also, in case you missed it, Burton participated in a second TV interview to discuss her teen violence research — this time with WRIC Channel 8 on Oct. 16.
