It’s #VCUGivingDay
Wednesday, May 3, is VCU Giving Day, one special day to give back and make a difference for current and future students at the School of Nursing. Learn more about the campaign and how to give below.
Student Success Fund
The student success fund at the VCU School of Nursing provides resources, support and new opportunities to ensure every student can be their best. Gifts support our new academic coaching program that provides one-on-one guidance to students so they can make the most of their educational experience. Funds also provide opportunities to participate in practical and research-based experiential learning opportunities that enhance what our students learn in the classroom.
Community Engagement Fund
The health and wellness of our city is incredibly important to us. Our community outreach programs make enormous strides in addressing health disparities and provide underserved populations greater access to health education and coaching, physicals, and free health screenings. Our students gain valuable experience in these settings as providers, giving them insights into care implementation and coordination.

- Meet the challenge
Your gift could mean double, triple or more for the School of Nursing with dozens of giving challenges. Not sure where to start? Try your hand at one of these:
- Watch Me Give Challenge Tap into your creativity! Whoever posts the most creative photo of the “I Gave” image and/or gift receipt with the hashtag #VCUGivingDay earns $1,000 for their area of impact.
- Get Social Challenge Be quick on the draw! The first and second donors who post on social media using #VCUGivingDay and the handle for the school or unit they support earn $2,500 and $1,000, respectively, for their area of impact.
- VCU Ram Nation Photo Challenge Share a picture of you and your “Ramily” in VCU gear on Twitter or Instagram. The most creative picture receives $1,000 for the area the winners choose to support. Make sure to include #VCUGivingDay and tag the specific area of impact you want to support.
- Share the campaign
Follow VCU School of Nursing on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to spread the word about #VCUGivingDay! Post to your social media accounts with a VCU Giving Day message. Short on time or not sure what to post? We’ve got you covered. Share or retweet posts from VCU SON social media accounts.
