Nurses Week 2020: Lyndsey Highlander, accelerated B.S. class of 2020 (December)
In celebration of Nurses Week 2020, VCU School of Nursing is sharing each day why students chose to become part of the most trusted profession on earth.
“I want to be a nurse to give a voice to my patients during their times of need. Being sick and needing medical help can be overwhelming and terrifying. I know this from personal experiences. And I want to bring my future patients peace, comfort and the reassurance that I am fighting for them. They are not alone.”
Lyndsey Highlander, a native of New Kent, Virginia, is a student in the accelerated B.S. class of 2020 (December).
