SON now accepting nominations for Alumni Awards
The VCU School of Nursing is now accepting nominations and self-nominations for the 2017 Alumni Awards. The four awards below will be presented April 8 during Reunion Weekend. Nominations are now being accepted until Feb.15, at this link.
Award Descriptions:
Outstanding Nursing Alumnus Award:
Honors outstanding contributions of graduates of the School of Nursing and is presented in recognition of a successful nursing career.
Outstanding Nurse Service Award:
Honors School of Nursing alumni who have shown outstanding leadership and service to the community, the school or the university, or professional or community organizations.
Outstanding Nurse Practice Award:
Honors a School of Nursing graduate who exemplifies an innovative, collaborative and scholarly approach to his or her practice and contributes to the development of others.
Outstanding Young Alumnus Award:
Honors a School of Nursing graduate who is 40 years old or younger that has demonstrated excellence in his or her nursing career, has been identified as an emerging leader, or has made a significant contribution to the profession.
