Victoria Menzies, Ph.D., RN, PMHCNS-BC, associate professor in the Department of Adult Health and Nursing Systems at the VCU School of Nursing, is one of 164 nurse leaders nationwide who were inducted as fellows of the American Academy of Nursing (AAN) during a ceremony on Oct. 22. Selection as a fellow is considered one of the most prestigious honors in nursing.

Selection criteria include evidence of significant contributions to nursing and health care and sponsorship by two current Academy fellows. Applicants are reviewed by a panel comprised of elected and appointed fellows, and selection is based, in part, on the extent the nominee’s nursing career has influenced health policies and the health and wellbeing of all. Read more.
