SON holds stewardship luncheon for Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation
The School of Nursing and the MCV Foundation held a stewardship luncheon on Oct. 11 to recognize the Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation for awarding scholarships to thousands of VCU nursing students over the past 30 years. The Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation was established in 1946 by Conkey Pate Whitehead as a memorial to his mother, Lettie, with the purpose of educating women. The foundation provides scholarships to more than 150 VCU School of Nursing students each year. This year, 163 students with an average grade point average of 3.7 were selected. Read more.
