Students volunteer at free dental clinic
A group of nursing and pharmacy students volunteered at the Virginia Dental Association Foundation’s Mission of Mercy event in Virginia Beach April 30. The event provided a free dental clinic to over 500 area community members. Students participated in triage, health screenings and counseling. School of Nursing students who participated include Indira Miller, Raven McCarthy, Madison Williams, Katie Byrnes, Abbie Wisner, Morganne Perez. They were joined by Hallel Basco (B.S.’15/N) and Genevieve Beaird, M.S., RNC-OB, clinical instructor, at the event.
