Alumna Emily Drake elected president of the AWHONN
Emily Drake, Ph.D., RN, CNL, FAAN (Ph.D. ‘05/N), associate professor at the University of Virginia School of Nursing, was elected president of the American Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), the professional organization that is the voice for more than 350,000 nurses and promotes the health of women and newborns. Drake’s three-year term begins Jan. 1, 2016.
