In celebration of Black History Month, the VCU School of Nursing’s Cultural Action Committee will host a panel discussion Tuesday, Feb. 24 on the topic “Diversity Now: 21st Century Health Care Education and Practice.”  Kevin Harris, M.S.A., assistant vice president for academic and diversity affairs in the Office of the Senior Vice President of Health Sciences and affiliate research faculty in the Department of African American Studies, will provide an introductory address.  The panel discussion will be held at 6 p.m. in Younger Auditorium. Panelists include Candace Johnson, Ph.D., M.P.H., RN, assistant professor at the VCU School of Nursing, and Samuel Hunter, M.D., president of the Richmond Medical Society, as well as other leaders and experts from across VCU and the Richmond community.

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
