Three Faculty Selected for Intramural Grant Awards
The Office of Research is pleased to announce the following recipients of the School of Nursing Intramural Grants Program (IGP) for the fall of 2014. The program was created to fund pilot work that will help faculty members prepare for the submission of larger external grants. Award winners and their projects include:
Lisa Brown, Ph.D., R.N., associate professor in the Department of Family and Community Health Nursing – “Microbiota and preterm infant growth.”
Candace Johnson, Ph.D., MPH, RN, assistant professor in the Department of Family and Community Health Nursing – “Preliminary testing of an internet-based, culturally-tailored, yoga activity in african-american women at-risk for the metabolic syndrome.”
Alison Montpetit, Ph.D., RN, assistant professor in the Department of Adult Health and Nursing Systems – “Investigating exhaled breath biomarkers in dual users of cigarettes and e-cigarettes.”
Upon completion of their studies, they will present their results to the SON community.
