School of Nursing Hosts Adjunct Faculty Orientation and Guest Speaker Marilyn Oermann
More than 80 VCU School of Nursing adjunct faculty were welcomed to campus on Tuesday, Aug. 19, for orientation activities. A highlight of the day was a roundtable discussion and a presentation by guest speaker Marilyn Oermann, Ph.D., RN, ANEF, FAAN, professor and director of evaluation and educational research at the Duke University School of Nursing. Oermann, who spoke on the topic “Modern Day Challenges of Nursing Education,” has written and lectured extensively on teaching and evaluation in nursing. She is the editor-in-chief of Nurse Educator and the Journal of Nursing Care Quality.
