Adult Health and Nursing Systems Department Delivers Donations to Fan Free Clinic
The Department of Adult Health and Nursing Systems recently sponsored a canned food drive coordinated by Victoria Menzies, Ph.D, RN, PMHCNS-BC, assistant professor in the Department of Adult Health and Nursing Systems, to replenish the shelves of the Fan Free Clinic food assistance program. A total of 322 cans and $1,032 were donated thanks to the generosity of faculty, staff and students. The Fan Free Clinic, the first free clinic established in Virginia, provides medical and mental health services for those who have limited access to health care services. AHNS plans to conduct another food drive for the clinic in the spring.
