Cultural Action Committee Hosts Potluck and Information Session
The School of Nursing Cultural Action Committee hosted a multicultural/holiday potluck on Dec. 12, bringing together faculty and staff for delicious food and socializing. The potluck included homemade Cape Verde beans and rice, quiche lorraine, meatballs, spoon bread, succotash, Spanish tortillas, cranberry orange scones, ginger cookies, and other yummy dishes and treats that were either cultural or holiday cuisine. The potluck was followed by an information session, featuring a presentation by Sue McGinnis, chair of the Cultural Action Committee and director of Systems and Academic and Administrative Technology. McGinnis provided an overview of the committee’s plans for 2013 and shared how to access diversity plan information posted on both Blackboard and the School of Nursing website.
