Debra Lyon, Ph.D., RN, FNP-BC, FNAP, FAAN, the Judith B. Collins and Joseph M. Teefey Distinguished Professor and chair of the Department of Family and Community Health Nursing, was featured on WRIC-TV8 in yesterday’s medical minute segment on “chemo brain.” The segment also included video footage of a patient, Beverly Tompkins, participating in a computer survey under the guidance of Ph.D. candidate Debra Lynch Kelly, project manager. TV8 Anchor Amy Lacey interviewed Lyon about her study on “Epigenetics and Psychoneurologic Symptoms in Women with Breast Cancer.”
Lyon was also interviewed by WRIC-TV8 reporter Katelyn Sherwood for a breast cancer awareness month series set to air on Friday, Oct. 19 during the 5:30 p.m. news. She discussed her study “Cranial Electrical Stimulation (CES) for Chemotherapy Symptoms in Breast Cancer.”
