Nursing Students Without Borders participated in Relay for Life of VCU on April 21 at the Cary Street field. Students also coordinated a bake sale and offered blood pressure screenings on site. The NSWB team raised over $1,500 for Relay for Life of VCU.
Relay For Life is organized for individuals to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay events, teams of people camp out and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.
Below are scenes of NSWB members during the Relay event.
