Ph.D. Student Wins CANS/SNRS Dissertation Award
Yui Matsuda, teaching assistant for the Family and Community Health Nursing Department, was selected to receive the The Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science/Southern Nursing Research Society Dissertation Award for 2011. Her proposal, titled “Predictors of communication and sexual decision making in Latino couples, ” was noted to be “outstanding in a pool of many excellent applications.” She will be publically recognized for this research award at the SNRS meeting in New Orleans in February 2012. Matsuda was previously one of the Coordinating Research Assistants for the P-20 and most recently the P-30 for the Center for Bio-behavioral and Clinical Research.
