Nursing students sponsor photo exhibit
On Nov. 14, VCU School of Nursing Community Health students hosted an opening for the “Getting to Know You” exhibit at the Carter Woods Gallery. Carter Woods is an apartment complex for seniors, 62 and older. Students in the class worked with Carter Woods residents to create a display featuring both current and older photographs. The participants also created profiles describing their interests, families and previous careers.
The following students organized the exhibit: Sallie Cross, Jessica Grunert, Dawn Kent, Lindsey Lett, Samantha Lyon and Sarah Powers. Susan Lindner, MSN, RNC, clinical instructor in the Department of Family and Community Health Nursing, also supported the project.
