Students interested in applying for the Rhodes, Marshall, and/or Mitchell Scholarships should attend an information session with Mr. Jeff Wing, Director of the National Scholarship Office, on Tuesday, April 1 at 11:00 am in the Alumni Board Room, Student Commons (907 Floyd Ave.).
The Rhodes Scholarship is the oldest international fellowship which provides students with the opportunity to study at Oxford University. Each year, 32 US Rhodes Scholars (and several from other former British colonies) are chosen. Rhodes Scholarship provide funding for up to three years, depending on the degree program chosen by the scholar. Marshall Scholarships are awarded to approximately forty students from the United States each year. Marshall Scholars have the opportunity to study at any academic institution of their choosing in the United Kingdom. The scholarship is held for two years. The Mitchell Scholarship is a competitive fellowship funded by the US-Ireland Alliance. Twelve scholars between the ages of 18 and 30 are selected each year for postgraduate study in the field of their choice at any institution of higher education in Ireland.
