Interested in teaching in South Korea?  Denise Dicks of the National Scholarship Office will host an information session for the Teach and Learn in Korea (TaLK) Program on Wednesday, November 13 at 2pm in room 1210 at The Honors College (701 W. Grace St.). This program offers six-month and one-year placements to teach English to Korean students while experiencing life in South Korea.  The program is sponsored by the South Korean government and is designed to support public English education in the rural areas of Korea.

Participants are provided with health insurance, accommodations, round-trip airfare, cultural field trips, a monthly stipend, and a four-week orientation process.  Duties include teaching English in after-school courses at elementary schools, as well as preparing lesson plans and activities for English education.  For more information, please visit http://www.talk.go.kr/talk/talk/talkhme/main.jsp, or email honorsnso@vcu.edu.
