Moving VoiceThread to HTML5 at noon on 12/12/2017
Due to an escalation in issues with the student experience in VoiceThread over the last week, Learning Systems will be removing the Flash option and enabling the HTML5-only version. This change was slated for 12/20 but we have made the decision to move forward with the change today.
This update was recommended by VoiceThread support:
“The majority of these issues seem to be with recording. I see that VCU is still
on the Flash version of VoiceThread, and this is the most likely culprit. As
web browsers continue to evolve and release new updates, they are dropping more
and more support for Flash. We are at a point where Flash is no longer
functional in some of them. I would strongly recommend that you consider moving
VCU over to the HTML5 version of VoiceThread as soon as possible.”
