Put Some Tech in Your T&L

A LON-CAPA workshop is being held for faculty and staff on Monday, May 23 at 9am in the Temple Building, Room 3309.

This workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Sally Hunnicutt from the Department of Chemistry and will last approximately two hours.  This will be a hands-on experience, focusing on the Course Coordinator role (instructor), so be sure to bring your own computer.  No registration is necessary, however space is limited, so you may want to arrive early.

LON-CAPA is a learning management system which permits the sharing of assessment items and learning objects both within and among participating institutions. LON-CAPA is used primarily by faculty in engineering, science and mathematics because of its ability to author sophisticated problem types.

Topics of discussion for the workshop include:

  • Structuring Courses
  • Tracking Student Grades
  • Uploading Student Scores, Grades, Comments
  • Managing Grading
  • Finding Content
  • Tracking Student Use
  • Open Questions and Answers
