Archana Pathak, Ph.D., Honored as Catalyst Award winner at Side by Side’s Springtime Gala
Archana Pathak, Ph.D., is being honored as a Catalyst Award recipient at Side by Side’s 2020 Springtime Gala. The Catalyst Awards are given to influential people, groups, and faith communities in the central Virginia region for outstanding service on behalf of Virginia’s LGBTQ+ youth.
Pathak currently serves as the special assistant to the vice president of Institutional Equity, Effectiveness and Success and interim director of the Queer Research and Advocacy Center (Q Collective) at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Side by Side is an organization that works with LGBTQ+ youth ages 11-20 through regular support groups, a leadership development program, youth support line and information and referrals. They also partner with members of the the community to ensure that LGBTQ+ youth live in a safe, inclusive and affirming environment.
Congratulations to Dr. Pathak who will receive the award on May 16.
