What’s New at VCU for Faculty Held IND/IDE’s?

All research staff including clinical investigators, coordinators, and administrative staff that work on VCU/VCUHS faculty-held INDs/IDEs are invited to attend an information session on Wednesday, July 23, Noon – 1 p.m. in the Critical Care Hospital, 1st Floor, Room 304.

Dr. Betsy Ripley, VCU’s Clinical Research Compliance Officer (CRCO), will discuss policies, procedures, and the availability of assistance for locally-held INDs and IDEs (ie Faculty Sponsor’s of an IND or IDE not working on an Industry held IND or IDE study).

Topics will include:

  1. New Website with resources including templates and FDA links.
  2. New requirements for reporting IND and IDEs to the CRCO.
  3. New requirements for certification of the Sponsor and certification to conduct a multisite IND/IDE study under a VCU/VCUHS faculty-held IND or IDE.
