Congratulations to our recently-promoted VCU Engineering faculty! These advancements reflect their outstanding dedication and accomplishments.

The annual event represents the culmination of the graduating class’s education and offers design teams the opportunity to display and demonstrate their working prototypes to the Greater Richmond community.

As we welcome 2023, let’s look back at some of the most impactful stories of 2022.

Several students at Virginia Commonwealth University’s College of Engineering have received this prestigious distinction, including Madeline Bataille and Tristan Norrgard.

The NRC has funded a VCU College of Engineering research team led by Jessika Rojas, Ph.D., to investigate the behavior of a set of nuclear materials, with the aim of improving the safety and performance of the U.S. nuclear power fleet.

VCU Engineering leads the university in the latest round of VCU Commercialization Fund awards, receiving four of the six awards given.

Carlos Castano, Ph.D., an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, and Jennifer Puetzer, Ph.D., an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, have received Faculty Early Development (CAREER) awards from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for 2021.
