VCU Engineering takes platinum and gold in 2020 MarCom Awards
VCU Engineering’s 2019-20 annual review and 2019 holiday card were honored in this year’s MarCom Awards, an international creative competition recognizing outstanding achievements by marketing and communications professionals.
The college’s annual review and holiday card were among more than 5,000 entries submitted by corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies and public relations firms. Entries are evaluated by industry professionals tasked with looking for “companies and individuals whose talents exceed a high standard of excellence, and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.”
The holiday card, “Happy New Year from VCU Engineering,” received a platinum award in the category of print media design for holiday cards. “VCU Engineering,” the annual review, won a gold award in the category of print media design for educational institution annual reports.
This marks the third consecutive year that VCU Engineering’s communications have earned MarCom Awards. In 2019, the college’s annual report and holiday card received platinum and gold awards, respectively.
In 2018, in the wake of the college’s showing at that year’s SpaceX’s International Hyperloop Pod Competition, VCU Engineering submitted multiple MarCom Awards entries, receiving three gold awards and three platinum awards.
