VCU Faculty Participate in ADEA Institute for Teaching and Learning
This past year, we were able to send three faculty members from VCU to a national Institute for Teaching and Learning program sponsored by the American Dental Education Association. This program is now in its seventh year. This was a wonderful opportunity for our faculty as this is a program open only to faculty members recommended by their deans and thus is attended by top rising-star dental faculty from across the nation. The VCU faculty members were Dr. Elizabeth Berry from the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Sonali Rathore from the Department of Oral Pathology, and Ms. Anjum Shah from the Department of Oral Health Promotion and Community Outreach. Congratulations to our faculty!
The program included 45 other faculty members from other dental schools. It is interesting to note that sixteen of the participants obtained their dental degrees from institutions outside the US or Canada. Here a link to the complete list of the 48 faculty members and biographical information.
