THE MASK MAKERS
IN THE NEWS / APRIL 2020
A collective of skilled artists and makers, known as the Richmond Arts and Cultural Workers Coalition, is banding together to produce protective face masks for medical staff at VCU Health, home and public health care workers, bus drivers, and other essential workers.
The coalition is supported by Studio Two Three and 1708 Gallery, in collaboration with the Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts and with funding from the VCU da Vinci Center, a collaboration of VCU’s schools of the Arts and Business and colleges of Engineering and Humanities and Sciences that advances innovation and entrepreneurship.
