students working art supplies

In this photo, this group was working like a well oiled engine. Every person had a task and if they finished, they would help others out. One foreseeable issue I had to handle during this group project was task delegation in each group. On the first day of the project, I hadn’t thought about telling the students to choose who does what in their groups. I just assumed they would know to choose a task. That’s where the vital advice of my CT came in handy: Have them delegate and choose tasks to do for their games. Therefore, I came up with each group choosing a leader, people to make game cards/pieces, character designers/rulebooks, and board designers. This worked out really well because everyone had to be doing or making something. It also let me know who wasn’t putting forth all of their effort or wasn’t working which helped me during grading.
