10:30-12: Dell End User Compute Portfolio Update
Presenters: Steve Braham, Dell Client Solutions Specialist; Skip Braun, Dell Client Solutions Engineer
In the End User Compute Portfolio update session, we will align on the current state of the market and the pressures shaping campus IT decisions, including device options to support hybrid learning, faculty and staff productivity, and research intensity. The session will cover how Dell’s portfolio is secure, sustainable, and designed with lifecycle management in mind. We will also review Dell’s client roadmap, discuss processor developments and how they support performance, AI-ready workflows, and energy efficiency. The agenda will also cover new peripheral offerings that can improve usability, collaboration, accessibility, and day-to-day experience across classrooms, labs, and research environments. Lastly, we’ll highlight the Dell Pro Max with GB10 – a compact AI appliance that allows researchers to prototype, fine-tune, and run large models locally with data-center-class performance and secure data control.

12:30-1:30: Dell’s Perspective on Building, Scaling, and Governing AI in Higher Education

During the AI session, we will share Dell’s perspective on AI in higher education and how Dell helps institutions move from experimentation to operational AI. We’ll highlight how Dell Services supports customers at every stage of the AI journey — from ideation and proof of concept through production deployment. We will also share higher-education AI use cases and examples of how Dell is helping institutions advance their AI initiatives. In addition, we’ll provide an overview of the Dell AI Factory and explain how its modular approach helps institutions start, scale, and govern AI across diverse campus needs. We’ll also discuss how Dell can help manage tokenomics through efficient infrastructure design, workload optimization, and right-sizing resources to support AI at scale. If time allows and based on audience feedback, we can cover current challenges and considerations, such as power-user support, research-scale workloads, governance, security, and responsible AI guardrails. We will close with next steps or follow-on discussions that should be prioritized.
