March 14 is Pi Day, the annual celebration of the mathematical sign pi. Pi is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter.Physicist Larry Shaw first founded Pi Day in 1988, choosing the 14 of March because it represents the first three digits of Pi: 3.14.

Celebrate Pi (π) Day this March 14 by joining the circle of donors who support student organizations at the VCU College of Engineering. Your gift will help provide undergraduate and graduate students with opportunities to network, develop leadership skills and advance their academic achievements at VCU. Your gift will also help support activities such as conference attendance, meetings and social events. Donate $3.14, $31.42, $314.16 — or any amount you choose.

Please view the VCU Engineering Pi Day of Giving page to learn more about the many student organizations within VCU’s College of Engineering, leave an encouraging comment or donate to the campaign. Have a happy Pi Day!
