Dear students:

I hope that your semester is going well as we near the halfway point.

It was heartening to see so many students enjoying the bursts of nice weather over the past two weeks. I hope that you continue to enjoy the outdoor opportunities that the university and Richmond have to offer. It is important that we all take a wellness break during these very stressful times.

With Daylight Saving Time (March 14), St. Patrick’s Day (March 17), the official start of Spring (March 20), and the second Reading Day (March 24) fast approaching, I wanted to remind you of COVID restrictions that are still applicable. All VCU guidelines, both for indoor and outdoor activities can be found for reference on the in the students section of the Together page and on the Events and Gatherings page.

Get Better Sleep Event: Circadian Rhythms 
March 29, from noon – 1 p.m., via Zoom link
It’s National Sleep Awareness Month! Join The Well and Recreational Sports in this interactive program for students, faculty, and staff on getting in tune with your circadian rhythm for better sleep. Up to five students who attend this event will be entered to win a healthy sleep goodie bag!

Self-Care Day and Giveaways for Students
The Well has partnered with campus and student organizations to give out free student self-care kits before March 24. Check their RamsConnect page for upcoming giveaway events and locations on Monroe Park and MCV Campuses. 

Resilience Lab Appointments Available to Students
Did you know that the Health Promotion and Well-Being Center “The Well” offers stress management and mindfulness appointments for students? Sign up for a free 50 minute Resilience Lab appointment with a Well professional to learn tips to mindfully manage stress on the Resilience Lab page.

Outdoor Adventure Program Trips and Weekly Activities
