Clerkship Rotations

3rd and 4th Year Clerkships

(2 week and 4 week)

Riverside Family Medicine Residency offers 3rd and 4th year clinical clerkships. Students participate in a variety of activities including seeing patients in the outpatient setting and  following patients in the hospital.   Clerkship positions are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

A two-bedroom apartment is available as a courtesy to our out of town students, subject to availability.  The apartment has 2 twin beds in each room, a bathroom, dining area, living room, full kitchen, internet, and a washer/dryer. You will be sharing the apartment with up to three other medical students.  Riverside cannot guarantee separate rooms for males and females. 

2023-2024 Clerkship Applications:

                 Fourth Year: VCU and VCOM students, all other schools

Out of state schools: Your medical school must provide and maintain full professional liability coverage with minimum limits necessary to meet the limits under Va. Code Ann.  § 8.01-5.81.15 Limitation on recovery per malpractice case is $2,600,000 per claim, $7,800,000 aggregate.  This is a Virginia State law and unfortunately, Riverside will not accept any student without full coverage.
