“Beyond the Bench” Workshop Series
Are you interested in finding out what it takes to increase the societal impact of your research? Designed by VCU Ventures in collaboration with the CCTR, this free workshop series will familiarize you with the critical steps involved in commercialization (a translation of your research to the general market), including many common hurdles that technologies can face during the process, and how you can get involved.
You’ll hear from scientists who have successfully commercialized their technologies, participate in discussions that will guide you in thinking critically about the steps required to take your own ideas to market, and have the opportunity to discuss your questions with both regulatory and entrepreneurial experts. This series is open to current VCU physicians and research scientists, as well as anyone interested in participating in commercialization efforts at the University. Sessions will be conveniently located near the main hospital food court, so bring your lunch and join us to learn more!
