In this episode we are joined by Dr. Elvin Price, Victor A. Yanchick Associate Professor and Director for Geriatric Pharmacotherapy at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. Join us as we learn more about importance of optimizing medication outcomes for older adults, the importance of multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and how to work toward eliminating poor medication outcomes and reducing health disparities for older adults.


Meet our Special Guest!

Dr. Elvin Price is the Victor A. Yanchick Associate Professor and Director of the Geriatric Pharmacotherapy at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. He is also the Co-Director of the Institute for Inclusion, Inquiry and Innovation (iCubed) Health and Wellness in Aging Core. Elvin earned the Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Florida A&M University and his PhD from the University of Florida. Elvin studies the impact of genetic variation on aging, cardiometabolic homeostasis, and pharmacological responses. Elvin is enthusiastic about optimizing medication outcomes for older adults, fighting cardiometabolic diseases, reducing health disparities and educating the next generation of healthcare practitioners and
pharmaceutical scientists. Elvin is also the pastor of Beulah AME Church in Farmville, VA. He is married to
Andrea Price and they have two children, Henry and Heidi.
