Victor Yanchick, School of Pharmacy dean and artist-on-the-side, presented one of his paintings to Sharon Larkins-Pederson at a retirement celebration Sept. 13.

Larkins-Pederson was senior development officer for the MCV Foundation for more than 12 years. Friends and co-workers gathered to fete her at the Scott House on the university’s Monroe Park Campus.

Cathy Clark, who does donor relations for MCV Foundation, reports Yanchick’s painting of the Williams Beers House at 1228 E. Broad St. – where the foundation makes its home – was a surprise gift for the guest of honor.

The new Sharon Larkins-Pederson Endowed Fund also was announced, the result of a $40,000 gift in her honor by friends, family and colleagues. Larkins-Pederson will designate the purpose of the fund, which will be administered by MCV Foundation.
