As the new year approaches, take a moment to check out some of the pages that recently have been updated or added to the School of Pharmacy Web site. They’re all part of an ongoing effort to keep the site fact-filled and fresh.

Here’s a sampling of the most recently “renovated” pages:

  • Center for Biomarker Research and Personalized Medicine – Find information on the SOP-based center by clicking here. The center itself, directed by Edwin Van den Oord, is located in McGuire Hall.
  • Congressional Healthcare Policy Fellow Program – For the latest information on the country’s first such program, directed by Gary Matzke, associate dean for clinical research and public policy, click here.
  • Department of Medicinal Chemistry – To see a new version of the departmental pages, click here. MedChem, helmed by chairman Richard A. Glennon, moved to Biotech One earlier this year.
  • Inova Campus — Check out Inova’s “get to know us” video and new photo gallery by clicking here. The Inova Campus in Fairfax is under the direction of Michael Clarke, assistant dean.
  • Pharmaceutical Economics and Policy (PEP) Program – Find out more about the PEP program, directed by associate professor James X. Zhang, by clicking here.
  • Pharmacy’s Future — A new initiative supporting the school’s Annual Fund, headed by development director Ellen Leverich, offers a continuing story centered on the theme “Pharmacy’s Future.” To see the first four chapters in this evolving story, go to www.pharmacy.vcu.edu and click on “Pharmacy’s Future” under Highlights. Then hit “Click to read features about Pharmacy’s Future … .”
  • The Pipeline – You can access the most recent edition of the graduate alumni, student and faculty newsletter by clicking here and then clicking on Fall 2009.

Don’t forget, if you’re a member of Facebook or LinkedIn, that you’ll find SOP updates posted there, as well, by searching “VCU School of Pharmacy.” If you’re not a member … join and read all about it!
