Kudos, Carroll and Coe
Toni Coe and Melissa Carroll have done it once more, this time placing as Top 10 finalists at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists’ 13th annual National Clinical Skills competition. Their initial round was Dec. 6, with the final round Dec. 7.
VCU School of Pharmacy fourth-year students Carroll and Coe — aka No. 23 of 96 teams scheduled to compete – each received a $100 ASHP gift certificate and a copy of PharmPrep, a case-based board preparatory tool with CD-ROM.
They also received enormous support from fellow SOP students attending the 43rd Midyear Clinical Meeting in Orlando, Fla. “We had a HUGE support group,” said Nancy Yunker, assistant professor of pharmacy. “It was a huge honor.”
Yunker is advisor for SVSHP (Student Chapter of the Virginia Society of Health-System Pharmacists).
