A VCU School of Nursing researcher is conducting an online study, “Pandemic COVID-19 and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Patients,” which focuses on understanding COVID-19 related experiences in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) patients.

Lathika Mohanraj, Ph.D., RN, BMTCN, assistant professor at the School of Nursing, is the principal investigator, and Jeanine Guidry, Ph.D., assistant professor at the Robertson School of Media and Culture, serves as a co-investigator.

The study’s purpose is to understand  COVID-19-related knowledge, risk perceptions, perceived threat, stress, anxiety, coping, and intent to adhere to preventive action recommendations for COVID-19 in the HSCT population. This study is being conducted through a Qualtrics survey.
