VCU School of Nursing hosts lecture on patient-centered care in Swiss acute care hospitals
As part of the Langston Center for Quality, Safety and Innovation Lecture Series, Stefanie Bachnick, M.S.N., RN, research assistant and Ph.D. student at the Institute of Nursing Science in Basel, Switzerland, presented “Patient-centered Care in Swiss Acute Care Hospitals: Results of a Cross-sectional Multi-center Study” on June 20. Bachnick focused on clinicians’ roles in communicating and creating partnerships with patients as well as hospital management cultivating a culture of patient-centered care in the work environment.
