VCU School of Nursing holds vesting ceremonies to welcome students to nursing profession
by flaggal
The VCU School of Nursing held vesting ceremonies recently for the Accelerated B.S. Class of 2017 and the Traditional B.S. Classes of 2018 and 2019 to mark their start in the nursing profession. The vesting ceremonies have replaced the school’s white coat ceremony to be in alignment with the “bare below the elbows” movement in the health care environment. More than 230 students and their families were in attendance at both events held in the Hermes A. Kontos Medical Science Building auditorium.
