The Student Government Association on the MCV Campus of Virginia Commonwealth University is proud to announce the Fifth-Annual Health Fair to benefit the local Richmond community. This event will be held on March 2012, at Armstrong High School. We are extremely excited to be back at Armstrong High for the fourth consecutive year.
The purpose of the VCU/MCV Campus Community Health Fair is to provide free basic care and health information to the community. Last year, over 350 members of the community participated in the fair, making it our largest fair yet. Those in attendance received everything from medical and dental screenings to information on eating a balanced diet.
The success of this event in years past is due to the ongoing collaboration of students from every school on the MCV campus. Representatives from the medical, dental, pharmacy, nursing and allied health schools plan this event from start to finish. Last year, students from all over MCV worked together to see this event come to fruition and successfully serve the community.
In years past, MCV students have served as integral members on the Health Fair Executive Team. With your support again this year, the Fifth Annual Community Health Fair can be even more successful than last year. Our first meeting will be held on Tuesday September 27, 2011, at 5:30pm. We will meet at the Larrick Student Center- Court End Ballroom B. Please RSVP at the link below if you will be attending. Dinner will be provided!
