National Nurse Practitioner Week – Meet Nicholas Santalucia, future NP
On the last day of National Nurse Practitioner Week we are highlighting another VCU School of Nursing NP student. Meet Nicholas Santalucia, a master’s degree student (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Concentration) who works as a Registered Nurse in Adult Psychiatry at VCU Health.
Q. Why did you decide to go back to school to become an NP?
A. To provide essential care for our psychiatric population that are both underserved and misunderstood.
Q. What drew you to VCU’s NP program?
A. I favored VCU’s NP program because it focused heavily on holistic healing, and provided excellent schedule flexibility for working students.
