Vesting ceremony welcomes Traditional B.S. class of 2022 to nursing
The VCU School of Nursing held a vesting ceremony recently for students in the Traditional B.S. Class of 2022 to mark the start of their journey in the nursing profession. One hundred students, along with their families and friends, attended the ceremony in the Hermes A. Kontos Medical Sciences Building auditorium. School of Nursing faculty participated in the ceremony, helping students to don their vests.
The school holds a vesting ceremony in lieu of a white coat ceremony to be in alignment with the “bare below the elbows” infection control movement in the health care environment. View more photos from the event on the SON Facebook page.
