The VCU School of Nursing is hosting a group of nursing students from the University of Cordoba (UCO) in Spain through an exchange program that provides the opportunity for them to learn about the health care system and nursing education in the U.S.

A group of VCU nursing students visited UCO in early June. Both the VCU and UCO exchange students focus on comparisons between U.S. and Spanish nursing education and nurses’ roles in the respective health systems.

During their four-week visit, the UCO students will attend a nursing lecture, participate in hospital clinicals, and tour the Clinical Learning Center, as well as visit some of the school’s community outreach sites, including Randolph Place and Dominion Place.

In the photos below, UCO exchange students enjoy conversation with faculty and staff at a welcome reception.
